Ram Ratan Jat, an Electrical Air Artificer, hails from an agricultural family from Rajasthan.
His journey with Ultra Marathons started with the La Ultra Marathon in August 2017, one of the most grueling marathons held on an extremely challenging route.
He participated in the 111 km race category in inhospitable weather conditions and reduced oxygen levels. Due to the feeling of nausea, he had to quit the race, post completion of 68 km in 10 hrs. This motivated him to venture out into ultra marathons Here are few of his achievements:
In October 2017, he took part in 100 Km Bhatti Lake Ultra Marathon in Delhi and 1st runners-up completing the race in 13 hrs 49 min.

Participated at Hell Race 480km from Manali to Leh – Quit while descending Taglang La pass (above 17000 feet) 373 km after 98 hrs because of snowfall, high wind and road were slippery due to ice.
